Since the beginning of 2013, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus. I am the director of the Mobile Communications and Networking (MCN) laboratory, which conducts research in the broad area of communication theory, communication signal processing, wireless communications and networks.

My research focus is on Wireless Communications. More specifically, I am interested in:
  • Cooperative networks (relay channel)
  • Wireless powered communications
  • MIMO systems
  • Diversity techniques
  • Full-duplex radio
  • Physical layer secrecy
  • Cognitive radio
  • Cross-layer design
  • System studies

  • [Dec16] I. Krikidis has received the IEEE ComSoc Best Young Professional Academia Award, 2016 ``In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the academia in terms of innovative communications research and IEEE ComSoc services, especially in the area of wireless communications''.
  • [Sept16] 2nd IEEE WCNC Workshop on Green and Sustainable 5G Wireless Networks , San Francisco, March 2017.
