Ioannis Krikidis

 
 
Ioannis Krikidis received the diploma in Computer Engineering & Informatics from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department (CEID) of the University of Patras, Greece, in 2000, and the M.Sc and Ph.D degrees from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST), Paris, France, in 2001 and 2005, respectively, all in electrical engineering.

He is currently an Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Cyprus (ECE), Nicosia, Cyprus. Dr. I. Krikidis is a Senior Member of the IEEE.

From 2001 to 2002 he served as a Research Associate at the National Capodistrean University of Athens, Athens, Greece and from 2006 to 2007 he worked, as a Post-Doctoral researcher, with ENST, Paris, France. From 2007 to 2010, he was a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering and Electronics at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, UK. From 2010 to 2012, he was a visiting Assistant Professor with ECE, University of Cyprus.   

During summer of 2008 and spring of 2009, he was visiting researcher at the University of Notre Dame, IN, USA and the University of Maryland, USA, respectively. From July-December 2012, he was a Research Associate with Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust, University of Luxembourg.  

He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and the European Transactions on Telecommunications. He is also a Guest Editor for EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking . Dr. I. Krikidis is an Exemplary Reviewer of IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Wireless Communications Letters for 2012.
 
His current research interests include information theory, wireless communications, cooperative communications, cognitive radio, energy harvesting and secrecy communications.
