The course focuses on aspects found in project management: requirements of plans and specifications, cost estimation, project scheduling, cost control and risk analysis of construction systems.
Topics include development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), cost estimates and resource-loaded project schedules, risk analysis, baseline/target schedule comparisons, change order preparation, health and safety plans, use of decision-support systems, and three-dimensional computer models.
The course is based on a real ongoing construction project (highway or building project). |
