Biography:
Katerina Stylianou is a Research Associate in the Laboratory of Transportation Engineering, of the University of Cyprus, and currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Katerina has received a B.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Cyprus in 2012 and a M.Sc. in Transportation Planning and Engineering from the University of Southampton in 2013. Form 2014-2015 she worked at ALA Planning Partnership LLC in Nicosia, Cyprus as a Transport Planner. Her research interests centre on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the transport system regarding traffic and road traffic safety, and the use of innovative methods for optimising the performance of decision support tools in this area. Broadly her work involves developing traffic control approaches with a focus on addressing risk assessment in the network, while simultaneously examining human behaviour.
