Vana Gkania (Female) is a Research Associate in the Laboratory of Transportation Engineering, UCY, and a Ph.D. Candidate in UCY’s Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her research interests include intelligent transportation systems, mobility patterns and big-data analytics. Prior to enrolling at the University of Cyprus (2015), she had received her Diploma in Civil Engineering and her M.Sc. in Planning, Organization and Management of Transport Systems both at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and she had worked in the private sector as a field engineer and as a research associate.
