Activities
On May 21, 2010 University of Cyprus and TALOS Development Organisation visited Tsiakkas Winery in order to conduct the initial environmental review. The “ecomapping” procedure - the first step of the “EMAS easy” approach for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises - has been used for the identification of the environmental hot spots of the winery. This procedure has also been applied in four more wineries with the purpose of identifying their main environmental impacts resulting from their activities and processes and encourage them to implement an Environmental Management System.
